Our Financial Policy
As a small town practice we deliver the finest dental care at a reasonable cost to our patients. After each appointment fees will be charged to your account for the procedures performed. Account statements are prepared and sent monthly. No payment is required at the end of each visit but we do ask that you pay the full account balance monthly unless financial arrangements have been made in advance.
Dental Insurance
If you have dental insurance, please provide the information on your initial visit. We accept assignment of benefits for most traditional dental insurance plans. We will submit your claims electronically at the end of every visit and subsequently accept “assignment of benefits.” This ensures timely submission of the most accurate claims and normally quick insurance payment. As a result of this efficiency and no-charge service we, in most cases, will bill you only for the difference between the treatment fee and your insurance benefit.
We do not participate in Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). Nor do we participate in any PPO insurance plans. However, most of these types of plans do allow you to choose our office as a non-participating provider for your dental care and benefits.
In most cases, allowing us to provide the service of electronic claims submission minimizes errors and omissions. However if you wish to submit the claims yourself please let us know at the time of your visit.
Account Billing
You and your family members will be belong to an account together and billed accordingly. If you wish to have separate accounts for individuals please let us know at the time of your registration.
Our account statements are sent monthly and will reflect any insurance payments received. Occasionally a claim will be submitted and remain “open” or still awaiting a benefit payment at the time the statements are generated. In this circumstance you may not receive a statement until the claim is closed.
Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. We can make arrangements for a monthly payment plan but this must be done prior to the actual procedure.
We accept payment by check or cash. Our goal is to have every patient select the option best suited for their situation and to coordinate your benefits and treatment so you can ultimately have your best healthy smile for a lifetime.
Please remember that you are fully responsible for all fees charged by our office regardless of your insurance coverage.
